Grandaughter #5

Aubree Lynn Taylor arrived February 10, 2011 at 8:28 in the morning weighing in at 7 pounds and 10 ounces. She is such a cutie and is already trying to suck her thumb. She seems content and when she's awake, she is very alert. I love her so much!!

Here her sister, Kaydence, is meeting her for the first time. I hear she liked her as long as mommy was not holding her.

Peppermint

I didn't think that I would be using the peppermint essential oil that I received in my introductory packet much; but, I was wrong. I have had many occasions to use it with success.

My son now reaches for it when he has a headache instead of a non-aspirin product. He loves the smell and says that it works. My daughter said it instantly makes your headache feel better.

I have used it to open my airways up when I had a cold. Last night my 3 year old granddaughter spent the night with us and all she did was cough. I put a drop on the bottom of each foot and her chest. I swear she didn't cough for 2 hours and could breath better. She went right to sleep also.

Peppermint is also good for nausea. I haven't had to use it for that yet. Here is a link for 33 different ways to use peppermint essential oils. (Please, if you are going to use it for cooking and food; use only doTerra because you are assured certified pure therapeutic grade [CPTG]).

Spiritual Journey

My first thoughts that I remember are when I was 3 years old. I always felt strange and out of place even then. Like I didn't belong here in this strange body, feeling all these strange unpleasant sensations and feelings. I always felt confused and never knew what was the right thing to do. I was jealous of my younger siblings because they seemed to be loved and accepted and I wanted that.
My grandmother was very religious and taught me about God and Jesus and brought me along to her "meetings" and "conventions" She was very strong in her beliefs and scolded me many times for my thoughts and actions and even for the fact that I had nail polish on. Hell was a predominant threat.  But, even though she did that, I loved her and loved listening to the Bible stories she told me with rapt attention. I loved going to meetings and conventions and singing the hymns. I even wanted to be a "worker" when I grew up.
But, it was apparent that that was not in my futu…

Face Wash

Why have I not ever heard of this before? I have acne prone skin. Had it every since I was 9. I've tried every freaking acne face wash there is and nothing has ever worked. So, here I am in my 40s and finally my skin looks good. For three weeks now. I love it! No acne. No dryness. Smooth and healthy complexion. I really do look younger. So what is this? I don't know if I dare say. I mean why would I want others to look good too. lol. Oh, well....here it is:

castor oil and olive oil
What!! Why would you put more oil on your face to help with oily skin, you say. I thought it was gross too. But since I have tried everything anyway, I gave it a shot. And I was sold on the first "washing".

I found this on a blog that I follow: Simple Organized Living. I think I found the blog on Pinterest. You find so many neat things on that site that you might otherwise never have found. On Simple Organized Living, the oil cleansing method was linked and referenced too.

Go ahead and re…
