Kendra's third visit to the doctor was today. Her first visit was June 5th, and the next one was June 9th. The first two was just to make sure she's fine since they only keep you in the hospital for 24 hours now and she had a little jaundice so they were keeping an eye on it. Today, she weighs 8 1/2 pounds and is 23 1/4 inches long. So, she is doing great. At this rate she is gaining an ounce a day. She is staying awake more, smiling, and seems content until she thinks she is hungry. We all love her and are enjoying her!
I love my new cell phone. I think I've had it a month and still am learning new things about it. Everyone in the family is doing good. Matthew is sooo glad school is over with! Now everyone will be off his back. The two Mike's are their usual selves. Trisha is busy with training for her new job and still working at the hospital. And of course, Nathalie, is busy with the baby and finding out that it isn't as easy as she thought it was going to be. Mo…
The cutest picture by far! This was taken Sunday, June 22 by her mother. This week her birth announcement was in the Gouverneur Tribune Press and the Watertown Daily Times. Tomorrow is her doctors appointment and we will see how fast she is growing.
This is before her bath Saturday. After bath on Saturday. She is staying awake for longer periods of time now. She had her first real smile yesterday for her mother. Today she enjoyed spending time with her grandmother while her mother took a shower. She smiled at me several times and tried to coo. She loves to look everywhere checking things out.
Kendra had her first real bath Tuesday, June 17th. She cried at first then began to like the warm water. I took pictures with my camera not my phone so I can't get any pics on blog yet. I am waiting to get my computer fixed so that I can install my camera on my computer. All pics on this blog have been from a cell phone camera.
Kendra is a good baby. She only cried for the first two nights home. After that she has been very good and quiet at night. She is staying awake for longer periods of time and is nursing well. Her cord fell off two days ago when her daddy changed her diaper for the first time. She likes her grandmother to sing to her. Which I am more than happy to do even though no one else can stand my voice. At least she does! Here are more pics. These three are from Saturday, June 14th.
Saturday, May 31, 2008, I became a grandmother for the first time! My grandchild is a girl, Kendra Emily Bice. She was born at 10:12 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs. and 1 oz. and 20 inches long. She is so BEAUTIFUL! The first picture she is a few hours old. The second picture was taken June 5th in my arms (5 days old). She was named by her Great Grandma Jeanne Emily. Her Great Grandpa's name is Kenneth. So Kendra Emily is named after both her Great Grandparents
