August 10, 2011 Train Ride Through the Adirondacks We took a trip to Saranac Lake, NY to take a train ride through the Adirondacks. It took 2 hours to get to Saranac Lake and 45 minutes on the train to get to Lake Placid for a short 45 minute rest and then headed back. There was a mock train robbery that day. The trip was not what me or Mike expected. It really wasn't in the woods. Just passing through the towns. The train robbery really wasn't that great either. But it was nice to get out and do something. And the scenery is beautiful! Plus, we took the trip with Mike's oldest son and his family so that made it nice also. When we got back to our house the girls joined us with their kids and we visited for a while and took pictures. August 25, 2011 Keith Karter Bice was born! 8 lbs even. 20 inches long. Our first grandson. (we have 5 grandaughters)
